Meraki Labs Takes Peeyush Ranjan Onboard as Partner

Peeyush Ranjan, the former CTO of Indian e-commerce platform Flipkart, has partnered with Mukesh Bansal’s startup incubator Meraki Labs. Based in San Francisco, Peeyush will help Meraki Labs expand their presence in the Silicon Valley by incorporating new AI technologies into the processes of the company and working closely with startups in the incubator to help them shape their tech and product strategies. Ranjan said, “Meraki’s focus is to be a moonshot factory for amazing projects, and in today’s day, AI is a key component of that. A big part of my role will be to guide the AI vision for Meraki.” He added that a big part of his role revolves around determining the kind of companies Meraki Labs should start and what problems they should target. He said that his job isn’t just applying AI to everything just for the sake of it.

Peeyush said that his presence in San Francisco ensures that Meraki Labs, which is originally based in Bengaluru, gets international exposure and connects with global networks and talents. Bansal also shares his news on Ranajn coming aboard by saying, “With his deep product mindset and engineering leadership, he (Ranjan) will play a key role in building new companies, leading our AI vision, and helping Meraki establish a strong presence in Silicon Valley.”
