Nestlé CEO Laurent Freixe has been fired due to an alleged affair with a subordinate. A Nestlé professional, Philipp Navratil, takes on the new position of CEO, having served in the Nespresso division.
According to the source and an internal investigation overseen by Chairman Paul Bulcke and lead independent director Pablo Isla, this violates Nestlé’s business ethics, values, and code of conduct.
Navratil’s career has transitioned from internal auditor to strategic business unit leader, CEO of the Nespresso division, and now to CEO of Nestlé.
