Robinhood Brings Wealth Management & Private Banking For All

Robinhood is expanding its offerings by introducing wealth management and private banking services tailored for investors with smaller portfolios, aiming to play a greater role in shaping users’ financial habits.

On Wednesday, the company announced the launch of “Robinhood Strategies,” a wealth management service available to its premium Gold subscribers for a 0.25% annual fee, capped at $250.

Investors with as little as $50 can access portfolios of exchange-traded funds managed by Robinhood’s investment experts, while a $500 minimum investment unlocks access to portfolios that include individual stocks.

This initiative reflects the increasing demand for professional financial guidance among retail investors, who now view investing as a strategic tool for wealth-building and financial independence rather than just a hobby.

A Betterment survey last year found that retail investors with financial advisers felt more confident managing their personal finances.

Steph Guild, President of Robinhood Asset Management and a former JPMorgan Chase executive, emphasised that this service aims to democratise wealth management, which is traditionally reserved for high-net-worth individuals.
