
In the latest turn of events, Sarah Welsh will join as the new Chief Product, Brand, and Commercial Officer in Matalan today, i.e. 10th March 2025. As a part of her new role, Sarah is responsible for bridging the gap between the customer and the brand. In the language of the company, “putting customers at the heart of Matalan’s proposition”

She brings nearly 30 years of experience in the retail industry to Matalan. Before joining the company, she spent five years as the Retail CEO at the online fashion retailer N Brown Group, where she transformed its traditional catalog-based model into a more adaptable digital platform. She has also held senior buying roles at Miss Selfridge and River Island and is currently the managing director of Oasis Fashion.
